Watching Rossi take pole and manage to podium on a track that absolutely favored the Ducatis is just fantastic. The river of yellow smoke that flowed down the straight told me that the motorcycle fans of the world were ecstatic to see Rossi finish so well. It really did feel like a win. Lorenzo has never been my favorite rider, but he sure as hell deserved that win, he just dominated it. Marquez found out what happens when there isn’t another rider to ram and save your overcooked entry into a corner.
Rossi is second in the race for the championship, at 39 years old. Amazing.
